Year 6 pupils journey back in time

Year 6 were invited to journey back in time to 1940 last week with Charles Daventry, reporter extraordinaire. They experienced an air raid, what it would have been like standing with other evacuees waiting for the billeting officer to match them with a foster family and learnt about what life was like on the Home Front during the Second World War.

The children had to focus on the emotive and occasionally emotional experiences of children during the period of the war and used their developing drama skills to explore these ideas.
