Snow Information

Bromsgrove operates as a Boarding School. However bad the weather, the School will operate in as normal a way as possible. At no stage will the School be closed or the pupils be sent home en masse. If the weather conditions indicate that journeys home might be hazardous, the School may advise individual pupils with long journeys to contact their parents to discuss early departure. Parents are also welcome to make requests for early departure direct to House Parents, who have been asked to scrutinise requests closely to prevent wholesale disruption of the School Programme. Day pupils should attend/remain at School as long as this is felt to be sensible by parents. We rely on parents making sensible requests and decisions based on their knowledge of their own local weather and road conditions.

Snow Update - 14.11pm on 08/12/2017:

Today – Friday 8th December Due to the inclement weather and the continued forecast of snow in Bromsgrove, we will not be running any activity sessions at Senior School this afternoon. School transport for day pupils will now leave at 4.00pm. Houses will remain open and will be staffed between 4.00pm until the end of the normal school day so pupils can remain in School as normal. If you wish to collect your child before the end of the day you may do so but please make sure they have signed out in their House before they leave.
School Play
Due to the inclement weather and road safety concerns the Senior School performance of The Pierglass tonight has been cancelled. If you have tickets for tonight, we hope that you’ll consider re-booking for the final night on Saturday, for which there will be no charge. All you need to do is visit https://www.bromsgrove-school.co.uk/whats-on.aspx and click ‘The Pierglass’ link for Saturday 9th December and then choose the pupil ticket (no charge), regardless of whether you are a pupil or not. Saturday 9th December
There will be a reduced activity programme on Saturday, please be aware that due to the weather some activities will not be able to run. All sports matches in Senior and Prep have been cancelled.
