National IAPS Hockey Finals

On Monday 9th March the U11 boys' hockey team took part in the National IAPS Hockey Finals at Wellington College, Berkshire.

The boys were drawn in a very tough group, losing the two opening games to Chaffyn Grove and Beeston Hall (both National Champions).

The boys contested the plate competition after the group stages had finished, defeating Millfield Prep 3-2 in the quarter-final before losing 2-0 to Bilton Grange in the semi-final. Nevertheless the boys picked up a bronze medal winning their final match 5-0 giving us a ranking of 11th from the twenty teams there.

The team did exceptionally well to qualify for the day and it was a great experience. Dan Fox, Great Britain Olympic and England Commonwealth Games hockey player, came to support the boys during the day.
