Hockey Bronze Medal

Congratulations to the U13A boys' hockey team on winning a bronze medal at the ISHC National Finals day at Beeston Hockey Club, Nottingham.

In the round robin format of matches, our results were as follows: vs Reigate Grammar drew 2-2, vs Trinity Croydon lost 2-5, vs Bradford Grammar won 4-0 and vs Kings Chester lost 1-4. This meant that we would meet Reigate Grammar in the bronze medal match. This turned out to be a classic with Bromsgrove racing into a 2-0 lead before Reigate took a 3-2 lead. We then levelled the scores at 3-3, and Reigate took the lead again before Bromsgrove equalised through a super finish from Beau Langford to send the game into penalty flicks. After the first three flicks the score was tied at 3-3. We then entered sudden death flicks - George Hall converted before Freddie Giles saved to win the bronze medal for Bromsgrove.
