CCF Biennial Inspection 2023

The Biennial Inspection of our Combined Cadet Force (CCF) took place around the grounds on Wednesday, 29th March 2023.

Bromsgrove is all about producing young people who will flourish in the world beyond our gates – and CCF plays a significant part in that.

The skills that pupils learn in the CCF will serve them well for life. Being able to work with others, being able to lead effectively, developing confidence, resilience and self-discipline are all vitally important whilst pupils are at School. and also for life after Bromsgrove.

We were honoured to welcome Colonel Hodgson as our inspecting officer. Col. Hodgson studied medicine at the University of Sheffield and later gained a Masters in Defence Studies from Kings College, London as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from the University of Winchester. He is Consultant Advisor in Primary Care for the British Army and Head of Care for Army GPs. He has been a NATO Medical Director, where he advised the Commander on medical planning to ensure the maintenance of medical support to the NATO forces, and over his twenty years of military service, he has been deployed on a variety of operational tours including Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq.
