At Bromsgrove Preparatory School, the aspiration is that for boarders, the boarding house is a home from home.

Boarding at Bromsgrove is so much more than the excellent teacher/pupil ratio one expects in a first class boarding school, and Bromsgrove aims to offer its young boarders a home, not a place to sleep after work. Bromsgrove School has a dynamic and vibrant boarding community with over 580 boarders aged 7 to 18. Prep School boarders, aged 7 to 13, live in a superb state-of-the-art facility, which is home for over 100 boys and girls. Weekly as well as full boarding is offered. Boarders of Prep School age have access to Senior School facilities and enjoy a seamless transition to the Senior School at 13. Resident Houseparents and a dedicated tutor team, doing day and evening duties ensure that there are always staff are on hand 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Nothing is more important than pastoral care and our team of dedicated nurses provide on-site medical care in the School’s Health Centre; high quality varied food from chefs preparing three good meals a day on site is standard. Additionally, there are no exeats: Bromsgrove is always open at weekends with a full and varied programme of activities and trips on offer.

Bromsgrove Prep offers an exceptional all round co-educational experience for children aged 7 to 13, set within a 100 acre campus with a balance of boys and girls, day and boarding, offering families a real choice.

We aim to nurture and challenge our children; we recognise that children need to be guided but also given the freedom to think for themselves and to develop a true sense of self. Individual achievements, and the importance of team efforts, are both highly valued.

All pupils are encouraged to achieve their best in academic, sporting and creative fields, while at the same time developing their social skills; manners, a respect for each other and those around them, kindness, helpfulness and a willingness to participate for the benefit of others.

For those considering boarding at Bromsgrove, we are more than happy to arrange taster days/weekends to give the children an opportunity to see if boarding life would suit them.
