Dear Oakley Parents and Guardians

Last week the Senior House Drama evening was magnificent and the Oakley girls were led by Sasha who also performed on stage with Jette, Charlotte, Maya, Carlotta and Sophia. Ibukun was assistant director and the audience loved the melodramatic tone of ‘Eight Women’ by Robert Thomas. It was a fantastic effort.

We were very proud of Lia who showcased her artistic talents at an IB2 exhibition in old chapel. Presenting her love for her native Italy, La Dolce Vita was stunning collection of work:

In the last Routh Assembly of the term, the following L4 girls were commended:
U14 Netball: Celina, Ava and Kerron
Table Tennis: Daniella
Hockey Major School Colours:
Sophia and Hatty

Sofia M and Clara L were commended for their exceptional IB2 CAS projects. Their CAS portfolios have served as a testament to their commitment to personal growth, and global citizenship – striving towards the best versions of themselves through service. Well done, girls.

Clara has also completed her Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award!

Karis was congratulated for her work with the Young Enterprise, “for her sheer commitment to the development and manufacturing of the Blox, dedicating countless hours and always doing it with a smile on her face”. Ashna has also been working hard with the scheme and her team won the Customer Focus award. The judges commended the engaging marketing materials created and the team’s clear explanation of their products. Well done Karis and Ashna.

Congratulations to Celina who was awarded her House tie this week, in recognition of her contributions to House and School life.

Wednesday was a busy day, starting with a special breakfast for the U6 before their Oakley Leavers’ Assembly:

At breaktime the whole House took part in our annual Easter Egg Hunt:

And in the evening the U6 and staff enjoyed their leavers’ meal in town:

Wishing you all a lovely Easter break with your loved ones.

Best wishes
