Dear Oakley Parents and Guardians
Even though examinations are in full swing, your daughters continue to impress us with their dedication to School life. Congratulations to Caro and Clara who were sworn in as School Monitors for 2023-24 in Routh Assembly:
The Fourth Form play was performed in Cobham Theatre earlier in the month. Witch Hunt was based on Arthur Miller’s The Crucible and we were very impressed by the performances of Ibukun and Esinam. Uliana also assisted backstage. Well done girls.
Although the UK did not do too well this year, we enjoyed the Eurovision Song Contest and Selai won the sweepstake for the winning Swedish entry, her prize being breakfast in House for a week!
Well done to our Junior Rounders Team who competed well in the House Competition. My thanks to Nikki, Ashlina, Ibby, Alvina, Maanabi, Sai-Nam, Trissie, Kalash, and Raine:
And to Ibukun, Rozelyn, Shreya, Tajvy, Yasmin and Trissie for their efforts with Junior House Tennis in the sunshine yesterday.
Christina, Trissie and Sai-Nam showed of their talents in the superb Fourth Form concert in Routh Hall on Wednesday evening:
We are also very proud of Sophia, Clara and Katie C who are through to the National Finals of the Young Enterprise with their group, Monito:
We’ve been keeping your daughters motivated through their study leave, keeping them on schedule as best as we can to help them to foster good habits. For the important breaks and down time we have a couple of new additions in Oakley House:
In the warmer weather the occasional ice cream has also gone down well!
I hope you and your girls have a lovely half term and I will welcome your daughters back on Sunday 4th June.
Best wishes
Victoria
