Dear Parents and Guardians

Huge congratulations to Corey-Jo McGlynn, Catie Ranger, Louisa Maynard and Ellie Preece whose netball team became national champions yesterday in the Independent Schools’ National Cup. A nail-biting final score of 53-47!



Within School we also saw Orla Walker win the Senior Girls’ House Cross Country Competition. My thanks to the whole team: Lauren, Eloisa, Lucy, Raelynne, Jasmine, Hannah, Mila, Kate, Heidi and, of course, Orla.



The Junior team also put in a sterling effort. Thank you to Abbie, Evie, Angelina, Tash, Alanna, Pilar, Chantal, Joelle K, Joelle B, Daisy, Mikayla and Kelly.







Our senior volleyball players won their first round and will play Wendron Gordon in the final next week. Fantastic result Francie, Lilly-May, Jess, Sophie, Jasmine and Lydia!



As we know, Oakley House isn’t just about sport, it’s also about FOOD. We enjoyed celebrating Shrove Tuesday in House earlier in the week with lots of pancakes consumed:





Oakley girls have also been busy having fun bell ringing, braving the Upton Warren teambuilding and celebrating the Baba Marta festival:











Finally, congratulations to U6 student Gabby Fraser who has been awarded a merit in a scholarship exam for Biology at Aberystwyth University. She is looking forward to being a student ambassador next year and we look forward to hearing all about it.
