Year 3 Trip to the Zoo

Year 3 had a fantastic day at Dudley Zoo last Friday, learning more about polar animals as part of their study about Ice Worlds; they had specifically requested to go there so that they could deliver the mysterious egg which they had received at the start of this half term. The zookeepers confirmed that it was from a King Penguin and the egg has now been safely delivered to the zoo’s birds team so that they can organise for it to be reunited with a colony of King penguins in another zoo.

Year 3 really enjoyed exploring the vast array of interesting creatures at the zoo and behaved beautifully throughout the day, showing great consideration and politeness towards other visitors.
