9th May 2018 Newsletter

Dear Parents,

With exam leave looming for 5th Form and U6th, and Harry Liversidge in the midst of his IB exams, it truly feels like the examination term is in full swing. The House has had considerable success over the last few weeks, with Zak Ison representing Hereford and Worcester to gain his first county rugby cap, Sam Osborne swimming at the World School games in Morocco this week, and with members of the Lower Sixth being made up to be four out of the twelve School Monitors we really are doing well. Congratulations to all of those mentioned, but also all other members of the house that have supported on sports day and continued to work hard towards their academic work.

This Friday we have a House Breakfast which has been kindly funded by the Parents Association. As well as this we have Sophie, a representative from the Basement Project (our House Charity), coming into tell the boys about where the money that they have donated will be going, and explaining the great work that they do in helping homeless young men in the Bromsgrove area. The plan is to present Sophie with a cheque for the money that we have raised; we currently sit at a total of around £950 which is a fantastic amount, but if you do have the smallest amount of change that you could contribute that would see us past the thousand pound mark we, and the charity would be very grateful.

Upper Sixth Leavers drinks at the Queens Head at 18:30 on Monday 14th May.
• School House PA meeting in School House Monday 4th June 19:30 – 20:30
• School House end Fish and Chip Supper Wednesday 27th June 18:30 – 21:00
