The School Week

Parents and pupils can choose whether they use Bromsgrove as a five, six or seven day a week school. All compulsory academic lessons are held Monday to Friday while all games and activities take place after lessons (the School's floodlit astroturfs and pitches allow this), so the mantra is "work hard first and play hard afterwards."

Saturday morning sees a unique optional programme that allows pupils to choose from a huge range of activities. For example, one can rehearse for Rada certificates in Drama, learn to canoe, street dance or take Philosophy extension lessons for Oxbridge entrance. The choice is vast and, so far as we know, no other School has anything quite like this.

Saturday afternoons boast extensive fixture lists in numerous sports. Hundreds of pupils might be representing Bromsgrove School on any given Saturday afternoon, and we are very proud of this.

Sunday trips for boarders are optional (some may want to work or simply take it easy for a while after a busy week), but they include outings to London, Oxford, Stratford as well as the likes of Alton Towers.
