U13A Hockey win Dean Close Tournament.

Our U13A hockey team became the first ever Bromsgrove team to win the annual Dean Close 11 a side tournament, the standard of play was very high with many leading schools in attendance.

After a slow start versus hosts Dean Close in which we went down 0 -1 we never looked back: in our second match versus Warwick we won 2-0 with Maxim Edger and Elliot Willetts scoring; in our third match we beat Millfield 2-0 with goals from Maxim and Charlie Bridgewater; we  dominated our fourth match versus Queen's Taunton and in our final match versus Clifton College we won 2-0 with both goals once more coming through Maxim, although this does not tell the full story ......with one minute left James Doohan-Smith made a great save from a short corner which enabled Bromsgrove to go the length to score, a dramatic finish.....

The team drew praise from many visiting coaches who commented that they were worthy winners.
