On Thursday, 8th February the U13 boys' hockey team qualified for the National Finals.

The team started off slowly versus Bilton Grange losing 0-1 before bouncing back to win their next two games 3-0 versus St Hughes and 2-0 versus Cricklade Manor.

Bromsgrove played exceptionally well versus Foremarke Hall but lost 0-1. They then beat Spratton Hall 3-1 in the last group match to finish as group runners up. In the crucial quarter final, the boys beat St Andrews 3-1 to gain automatic qualification for the National Finals. Three of the four semi finalists had come from Bromsgrove's half of the draw.

In Bromsgrove's semi-final versus Dean Close, the team played very well and created many chances but Dean Close scored the only goal of the game. In the final match, the team were up against Bilton Grange and despite getting a good share of territory and possession, the game remained scoreless and went to golden goal, which still remained goalless. The game eventually went to sudden death shuffles and Bromsgrove narrowly lost. Nevertheless the Bromsgrove side had achieved their objective of qualifying for National Finals. The boys were superb company all day, gave everything on the pitch and have something special to play for until the end of the season.
