Tudor Banquet

Year 4 stepped back in time on Friday, experiencing a Tudor banquet with a very special guest.
As they dined on ‘swan’ pie, roast vegetables and bloomer bread, Henry VIII regaled them with tales of his jousting injuries and love of real tennis.
Throughout the day, the children also enjoyed a range of exciting activities, aimed at furthering their learning of the period. They made pomanders to ward off bad smells and disease, designed their own Tudor knot gardens and created stunning prints of Tudor Roses on fabric.
