Hurdling Success

In Athletics, hurdling is one of our strongest events and during the course of the term several pupils from across the whole school have been achieving considerable success and there is more to come hopefully. Here is a summary:
Year 11
Harry L 100 metres Hurdles – Worcestershire county athlete, PB 13.88 secs, and will be representing the county at the English Schools Championships in Gateshead next weekend.
Harry P 100 metres Hurdles - Worcestershire county athlete, PB 15.2 seconds, and represented the county at Mason Trophy recently.
Year 9
Olivia C 75 metres Hurdles - Worcestershire county athlete, PB 11.9 secs and will be representing the county at the English Schools Championships in Gateshead next weekend.
Beth L 75 metres Hurdles - Worcestershire county athlete, PB 12.3secs, and will be representing the county at the English Schools National Multi Events in September and came 5th last weekend at the Midlands Regional multi events.
Year 8
Sam R 80 metres Hurdles – Worcestershire county athlete, PB 12.1 seconds and recently came 9th at Midlands Regional Multi Events in Derby.
Hannah S 75 metres Hurdles - Worcestershire county athlete, PB 12.4 secs, and will be representing the county at the English Schools National Multi Events in September and came 15th last weekend at the Midlands Regional multi events. She will also be representing the Regional IAPS team at the National Finals on Monday at the Alexander Stadium, Birmingham.
Year 6
Billy M 70 metres Hurdles – Regional IAPS Champion, PB 11.43 seconds and will be representing the Regional IAPS team at the National Finals on Monday at the Alexander Stadium, Birmingham.
Louis U 70 metres Hurdles – Regional IAPS runner-up, PB 11.68 seconds and will be representing the Regional IAPS team at the National Finals on Monday at the Alexander Stadium, Birmingham.
Well done to the above named pupils - but we must also not forget that we do have many athletes who are good club standard hurdlers as well.
